Awe and Some

They say Two is better than One. Such an understatement, we say!

DSLR and all.

on July 20, 2012

As always. Black is for Shra/Some and Maroon is for Sree/Awe. 🙂

Note: Retort.  – To those who have been cribbing about too many so-called-Photographers on facebook, here is Your reply from a person who owns a DSLR. And, no, I dont call myself a photographer.

Ok, lets hear it then, Miss Owner-of-a-DSLR!
Lol. Thanks 😛

I was one among the lakhs who read your post and nodded to every line. But, hey, I’m one of the thousands you were complaining about too. Thanks to you and the other 999 you were complaining about, you killed half my enthusiasm to click pictures, which I regret now. So, yeah, this one is just to tell you what you can do, instead of cribbing on us.

Right right, what’s your point now!?
Can you like, WAIT? 😛 Han.

Unsubscribe.
For everything else, there’s Mastercard. God! >.<
If you dont want to see a person nurturing their passion, then unsubscribe. Nothing happens on social media without adverting. If sharing a blog post wasn’t a thing to crib about, how can tagging pictures be? After all, that is your passion and this is ours. There may not be too many bloggers out there but there are overwhelming number of so-called-photographers out there. No wonder, you find more pictures on your timeline rather than notes/blog posts. Bear with it. Else befriend people of your passion.

Seriously? What’ll you do if your best friend becomes a ‘Photographer’? Unsubscibe? No. You can’t even make a frank statement, for exactly the same reason you told before, ‘killing the enthusiasm’ they say!
See, have you ever seen writers ever flooding a newsfeed or tagging 50 people in a photo/post? Tagging is much more annoying , we get notifications for everything!
Yes, Our awesome thalaivar @sarcasan wrote a frank post on the ‘LOL’ DSLR craze. He merely shared a link on twitter and one on his page. That’s it. We did the rest. Why? Cos it was good. Likewise, if the pic is good, it gets shared too.

So, what is your point here now? If it is your bestfriend, he should obviously be accepting criticism along with appreciation. Yes, I have mentioned ‘killing enthusiasm’, but I mentioned that I regretted it too. I am back to clicking and uploading now 😛  If you have a passion, you have to accept criticism along with appreciation. So, do tell your bestfriend your opinions frankly 😀 As for the second one, I have already mentioned. Sharing your post is your style of adverting. Tagging is our style of adverting. Peace now 😛

Yes, we click self portraits with our camera in it. That’s coz we love our prized posession. We can help you out with an idea, click pictures with your pen or a keyboard.

Doesn’ make sense. Truthfully do you KNOW how comical you look with a DSLR stuck to your face?
You like self-portraits, keep them to yourself. You’re just inviting trolls with those pics. Don’t blame us when we write against them!
NOT all the pictures are comical. If you say so 😛

Yes, we click pictures of old people in monochrome. That’s because we are practising by first doing the mundane cliche things. Show me one blog that does NOT explain about why you took up blogging or who you are, in the initial posts.
We put our names on every picture we click. Not because we are scared someone might flick them. (We know we aren’t professionals :P) We just like seeing our work with our names on it. Don’t you have a sign off line at the end of the post? Similar to it!

Frankly I’m no fan of this so called ‘candid’ photography. Old people in monochrome is pointless. Yet like modern art, you go on talking about the wrinkle above the left eyebrow which means the person is worried about his son. Worstu!
Again, practice. And keep it to yourselves. Or share within closed groups/a Photographer’s club to get reviews. Or Google+!
And names is cool. No qualms with that. We all all have that ego to satisfy!
Oh ya? So, now then, why do you share your blog posts on a ‘not a closed group’ twitter and on your facebook profile? (Put aside the fact that you share it on your facebook page too, that`s a closed group :D) You have the answer too, we ll have that ego to satisfy. We want people to read/see it. And no, I don’t want to speak about morons who speak about the wrinkle that means that he`s worried about his son 😀
Twitter is made for this. It’s called a micro-blogging site for a reason! 😀  –> Oh, so explain about Facebook then? See, this can go on recursively . Peace now 😛

I feel social media is 50% false appreciation. Yes, there are a few people who can find an ‘aww, such a beautiful picture’ in my pillow too. I dont go with the flow and treat myself as a photographer and create up a page with ‘so and so photography.’ But yet again, if you have a blog, why cant they have a page?

More than 50% false appreciation actually. So hard to find real feedback these days! Anyway, have the page. Atleast then we have a choice to subscribe or not. But if you post on your own wall and share it, well, you get more articles like that only!

Okay, so, I started this post just as a reply to the people cribbing, but I guess it had turned into a ‘vs’ battle. Apologies. Accepted. 😛
I am an ardent blogger and a person who owns a DSLR. These are just analogies, you could realize. Ok Some. We get it. You have a DSLR. And you haven’t given a treat yet!!

So, a few months back, I was the one who agreed completely to your post and shared it. But now, I am the one replying to it too. No offence meant anywhere.

No offence meant ah? Diplomacy eh? Right, continue!

Sincerely,
A Blogger owning a DSLR. No really. WE KNOW YOU HAVE A DSLR!! 😛
Tee-Hee 😛

(P.S: Hey, maybe, both of us can crib about those who share pictures that say, ‘hit like to save this child`s life.’ K Irritating right? 😀 .) –>wanna dev this or maybe take this up in another post?

— — —
And so, Awe and Some, fought, argued, made fools of each other (Though making a fool was biased to one person 😛 *Bahahaha*) and finally settled to crib on something else 😀 We are humans after all. We live with criticism.
To all the passionate people with DSLR`s and blogs and other passions, RESPECT.
Atleast you are doing something 😛
